Three models cover all requirements: the versatile type 3/6, the type 5 for high currents up to 1,000 A, and the type 12, which allows for the combination of earthing and speed sensing on the same axle end. They protect the bogie bearings and ensure safe current dissipation – throughout the entire service life of a rail vehicle.

When a railcar comes to a smooth stop or a commuter train opens its doors, it’s treated compressed air that’s at work. Tibram carries out new installations and retrofits in collaboration with Atlas Copco: design, construction, and support throughout the entire lifecycle.

From Uetendorf, to the world by rail
Tibram components are installed in locomotives, railcars, high-speed trains, commuter trains, and subways, and are used daily both in Switzerland and on international railroads.
From Uetendorf, Tibram ships its products to four continents: Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa. Rail vehicle manufacturers integrate these components into their new vehicles, while rail vehicle operators order them throughout the lifecycle of their fleets. The largest share comes from the current return circuit – the business with which Tibram began in the 1970s.
Certified quality
In the field of railway procurement, material traceability is mandatory. Tibram holds a marking authorization; materials are tracked seamlessly from receipt through to the finished product. The quality and environmental management systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Throughout the entire process chain, from the customer’s request to delivery, measurements are taken, documented, and validated using identified and calibrated measuring instruments.
